Mission Digitalization

Covid 19 has wrecked havoc in the lives of millions of people around the globe. Children have also not been left untouched by this devastating pandemic. With the indefinite shutting down of schools and the beginning of virtual education many families were left grappling with the new turn of events. The situation was specially pathetic in a school like ours which has girl students coming from economically weaker sections. To stop the dropout rate and to encourage learning our manager Prof. Baran Farooqi came up with a unique idea to provide mobile phones free of cost to needy students, a first of its kind of initiative in the country. Farooqi ran a crowd funding campaign with the help of crowd funding platform gocrowdera.com.This campaign lasted 90 days. After collecting adequate funds the school manager Prof. Baran Farooqi organized a function in the school premises on 29th July 2021 in which the Prayagraj Mayor Ms. Abhilasha Gupta Nandi was the chief guest. About 70 mobile phone sets (Real Me) were distributed to such children of our school who were not linked to online classes because of absence of digital devices.

Resuming the tradition which could not take place last year due to the Covid 19 Pandemic.  Kidwai Memorial Girls’ Inter College organized a Bal Mela on the occasion of Children’s Day on 13th of November to provide the students a refreshing break from their academic routine.

The event was inaugurated by the President of our college Mrs Shama Javed and our manager Ms Baran Farooqi. The event was attended by students of all classes who were dressed in beautiful casual attires and took part in the event with utmost enthusiasm and fervor. There were various stalls which were beautifully decorated and served a variety of eatables. The hand crafted items prepared by the students received a lot of appreciation. There was a musical and dance programme and horror show which was the centre of attraction of all the students. The students also participated in carrying out various duties which will help to make them responsible and teach them things other than academic knowledge.

Republic Day Celebration

A high spirited sense of patriotic fervor pervaded the air of Kidwai M.G.I.C on the occasion of Republic Day. The staff members, the NCC cadets and the Guide students came together to celebrate this auspicious event, however the students could not participate due to Covid restrictions.
