In the year 1972 a major event occurred in the history of our school. The 6th UP Battalion established an NCC unit at Kidwai Memorial Girls’ Inter College. The Hindi lecturer Ms Binte Zehra was given the charge of NCC at Kidwai. She rose to the rank of Major and it was under her able guidance that a student from our college successfully attempted parajumping. Major Binte Zehra also received the national Teachers Award.

In 1996 Ms. Afroz Jahan, Lecturer Education, was handed over the charge of NCC at Kidwai. Like her predecessor she also rose to the rank of Major in NCC. It was during the tenure of Major Afroz Jahan that students from our college participated in the Sainik Camp. Notable among them were Maya Nishad, Sana Alam, Subhanshi, Sanchita Singh.
After Ms. Afroz Jahan’s retirement from NCC, the responsibility of NCC has now passed into the hands of Ms. Rehan Bano who is also the teacher of Economics at Kidwai College.
